"The 2017 Pet Parade at the Sandy Springs Festival is presented by Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, in partnership with Heritage Sandy Springs. Pets of all shapes and sizes parade through the Sandy Springs Festival, sporting creative and crazy costumes. A Festival tradition since 1987, the Pet Parade is free to enter and prizes are awarded in a variety of categories: Most Unusual Pet, Coolest Trick, Owner/Pet Lookalike, Celebrity Impersonator, Best of Show, and People’s Choice. Day-of Registration will be available Saturday between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. at the Festival Main Stage. The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. with awards and prizes following at 11:00 a.m."

There will be contests, vendors, food trucks, music, photos with Santa, photos with The Grinch, a pug kissing booth and....PUGS!!! Oh yeah...and the top secret "anal gland expression" booth in a location TBD. #tellnoone. All dogs are welcome but all MUST be leashed and relatively well-behaved. Dogs showing any signs of aggression will be asked to leave and we prefer you leave the retractable leashes at home and use "regular" leashes. We encourage carpooling! Parking may be limited!
