Summer Fun Away From Our Doggie Hotel

The first day of summer began on the 20^th of June. The sun is out and now is the perfect time to have fun and relax with your dog. Are you looking for exciting pet-friendly events you can attend under the sun with your furry friend? There are many dog-related events specifically in the city of Atlanta that you and your four-legged best friend should check out this summer.

• June 23, 2016: Yappy Hour With Georgia Homeless Pets: This event will take place at Meehan's Public House in Vinnings. The event will consist of raffle prizes, drink specials, and a delicious BBQ menu created specifically for Yappy Hour. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Georgia Homeless Pets organization. Come out with your pup and have a great time while doing a great deed to the community!
• June 25, 2016: Georgia Dachshund Race: Do you have a pet Dachshund in your family? If so, you should add this on your list of things to do this summer. Admissions are 5$ and proceeds go directly to the DREAM Dachshund Rescue Group. There were a total of 150 participants last year so don't miss out!
• Aug 27: 5^th Walk, Wagn, n’ Run 5K & 1K Fun Run: The Walk, Wagn, n’ Run is an annual 5k run in Atlanta that benefits the animal and human victims of domestic violence. You get to race with other dog and dog owners in Atlanta.

These events are a great opportunity to mingle with other dog-owners in your community, as well as an opportunity for your dog to make new friends.
